We provide comprehensive, trauma-informed case management, crisis counseling, clinical intervention, and services to promote economic self-sufficiency to victims of domestic violence throughout New York City.
Our expertise includes work with women who have histories in the criminal justice system as well as those with current misdemeanor charges related to domestic violence.
The Children’s Therapy Program offers children ages 0-12 comprehensive trauma-informed therapeutic services recognized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as evidence-based and that have positive outcomes with minority populations, including Latino immigrant women. While enrolled in the Children’s Therapy Program, children receive either Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) or Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). The caregiver is also supported by the therapist with parent support sessions, groups, and advocacy services.
We are the only domestic violence program in New York City that provides counseling services to children under the age of five, and one of only three domestic violence programs in the City with a formal program to address child survivors and witnesses.
Our staff of culturally competent advocates speak Spanish and French. Translation services are available for most other languages.
No insurance is required and all services are provided at no cost.
