The STEPS to End Family Violence (STEPS) 7-week summer Peer Leadership training program includes 44 Middle and High School students representing our 18 RAPP (Relationship Abuse Prevention Program) schools. The program culminates in a student-organized conference in which the Peer Leaders present workshops on topics important and relevant to New York City youth. This year’s conference is entitled P.O.W.E.R. (Privilege, Ownership, Wisdom, Empowerment, RAPP).
Topics may include: Bullying Prevention Strategies; Street Harassment Awareness and Prevention; Ageism and Healthy Masculinity; and are presented in various formats: film, spoken word, skits, artwork, poetry, and social media.
